Serving Those Who Serve Others

Non-agency missionaries

The following are some of the many IMF members who are engaged in mission outreach, but not as members of our missions department.

Lee Baas

Lee Baas coordinates W.I.T.S. (Walking In Their Shoes) Ministry) W.I.T.S. provides confidential "on-site" care for missionaries and their families.  Lee says "this service is provided without cost to any missionary anywhere in the world. Basic to our service is non-confrontational listening, coupled with solid spiritual and psychological counseling. In 2011, we provided counseling support to missionaries and national pastors in East Africa, West Africa, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia. We also led 3 missionary retreats."

Faye Badgery

Isaiah 61:1-3 Verse 3 "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified." This ministry, "The Planting of the Lord Ministries International," was birthed in 1988 and has touched many nations, bringing glory to the Lord.

Basil and Vera de Klerk

Belize, Mexico

We're Basil and Vera de Klerk, missionaries in Belize over 10 years now, hosting 2 to 3 STM teams a month. We're boot camp for ST teams to experience a Mission trip in a Third World country where you can communicate with the nationals as they speak English. By God's grace lives are changing through the hands on ministry that teams have been doing with this unique village of Gales Point, Manatee. Consider joining us and learning more how God can use you as His hands and feet on the mission field.

Rev. George and Rev. Mrs. Stella Hooper were both born and raised in Ghana and are now resident in Verona, Italy. They have been in the ministry work for the past thirteen years. Rev. Mrs Stella Hooper is now the Associate Pastor to her husband in the ministry, Lifegate Christian Ministries International. The Lord has blessed them with five children, three girls and two boys, who are all working hard and effectively to fulfill the God given vision.

Steve Mendoza

South Korea

I am 62 years old, married to Hye Ock Lee. My MA is in Missiology, along with a Master of Divinity. I was a bi-vocational tentmaker in South Korea for 15 years (English Ministry/Education). Former "Director of Religious Ed" Fort Monmouth, US Army, 1/4/2011-9/15/12. Current: Civil Air Patrol Chaplain Bayshore Composite Squadron, New Jersey Wing. I will be heading to South Korea to work for the US Army as a Family Advocacy Program Victim Advocate in August 2012.

I have a desire to work with the Military Community and support military chaplains. I've been doing this since 2005. Military chaplains are going through a difficult period as there is a shortage. If dedicated civilian clergy can come alongside and assist in areas of need, this would be very helpful. I have been involved with the following; Camps Hialeah, Casey, Carroll, US Army and Chinhae Naval Base, and Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. I'll follow my vision to USAG Yongsan, Seoul Korea to work as a Victim Advocate and volunteer with chaplain support starting in Aug. 2012.

Lee Anne Risk, Mexico

Lee Anne Risk has worked in Mexico for the past 25 years. She, along with her daughter, Katy and son-in-law Horacio maintain the Casa Hogar orphanage in Zacatecas. Horacio and Katy pastor a local church, Centro Cristiano Roca Eterna. They all assist in youth outreaches, including a summer missions camp, and hosting groups. Lee Anne now focuses on her work, as missions director, with Canzion Institutes (which are currently located throughout Latin America, Europe and Africa).

"Hechos" is the new summer youth outreach for teens 13-19. This is a missions focused 10 outreach...5 days in training and 5 days in the "field". Check out "hechos acts" on facebook!

Rev. Raymond Sim has been serving as the Singapore National Director of a worldwide mission organization since January 1, 2014. He has been a full-time pastor in several churches and a Christian school in Singapore for the last eleven years and continues to serve as a lay children's pastor in his church.
